FYC: Alice’s response bc she’s an angel. “Fiona, I didn’t do all that. You did. It’s real easy for me to stand here and love you. It’s like breathing for me, but I understand it’s difficult for you. … I know how hard you’re working on this. I’m honored you think I’m worth doing all this work for.”

Your honesty, your assuredness, your consistency, your love—you have given me the confidence to start trusting my feelings again.” @tjoshea.bsky.social @bellabooks.bsky.social @jennabeebs79.bsky.social

Well, this was a wonderful surprise! Thank you @taramdscott.bsky.social for the official recommendation and thoughtful and insightful review! I also very much enjoyed the trip down memory lane regarding Kevin Smith films. I’ve seen Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back…possibly too many times. 🫣

The suggested treatment for my suddenly painful inner elbow is rest. But I WAS resting! I was just sitting at my desk! Everything is within a foot of my face! All I did was reach for a controller, and now it hurts to put on my jacket. ☹️ Being old is a scam.

I was on the fence about starting up my membership again… but this prompted me to renew and upgrade. Fuck these racist coward lobby groups.

Man, I want to primarily use StoryGraph so I can push off Goodreads, but there is just zero functionality for authors. Their roadmap has Author Page plans from 2021... Really feels like it's missing a core function as a book tracking site. Hardcover, too. 😩

I intended to wait and post when I had something fun to say about my upcoming book, bc otherwise my post would’ve been one, long, loud scream… But I wanted to stop and say hey to all y’all coming over from the Other Place! 🙋‍♀️ Glad to see this app getting traction. (And the book is with the editor.)

Thank you to @aspencerwriter.bsky.social for organizing the guest blog and providing us the space and freedom to discuss mental health. My life has been shaped by the art/media I’ve consumed, and it should’ve come as no surprise that storytelling became my outlet to process difficult emotions.

Ami Spencer@aspencerwriter.bsky.social · 3y ago

Today is the turn of @tjoshea.bsky.social who shares about her thoughts on the link between #mentalhealth and the arts/media, and how that's found its way into her own storytelling. Share, talk, comment, but most importantly, be kind to each other 💚 amispencerwriter.co.uk

I’m pretty private about my personal life on this public forum, which includes not sharing details of my mental health outside of RTing ADHD memes, but I’m happy to share my personal take into the intersection of art/media and mental health. Will post up the link tomorrow! ❤️
