A few weeks ago, Keith and I bought tickets to attend a "night swim" at Big Splash waterpark. Upon arriving tonight, we learned that the event was sold out, and Keith's friend (who drove us) didn't buy a ticket in advance. So, I gave him mine and sat out front during the duration. It's what I do!

My mom and nephew @snowballwolf.bsky.social surprised me yesterday with a gift of the "Michael" Blu-ray. I've seen this film twice since its theatrical release and am currently watching it for the 3rd time! Jaafar Jackson embodied Michael like no one else ever could. Absolutely love it!

Going to binge the remake of "Little House on the Prairie" on Netflix today. I've loved the original since I was a child, so I have high hopes for this! Apparently this is a closer adaptation to Laura Ingalls Wilder's book series... which I also remember reading as a kid. Should be a fun watch!

Last week, my amazing nephew @snowballwolf.bsky.social decided to surprise me with the gift of a new ice maker for the sole purpose of thanking me for all I've done for him. Little does he realize, he's done so much more for me! This is a godsend as I generally go through a lot of ice! LOVE IT!!

43'C humidex today...... 46'C tomorrow. Definitely hot enough to make me install the AC tonight!! I was not made for this kind of heat! lol. Just waiting for it to do it's job and cool down this fiery pit of hell I call my apartment! 🔥🔥🔥

Keeping busy on this warm Sunday with a day full of video editing. Yesterday, my guitarist and I recorded no less than 17 videos, all of which I'm compiling into a single highlight reel for promotional purposes! Hopefully it will help us drum up a gig or 2.

Just got out from seeing "Masters of the Universe". Two words: FUCKING EPIC!!!! As a fan of He-Man for over 40 years, there was nothing I didn't like about this. The humor, the action, the effects, SKELETOR!!! I want to see it again ASAP! Even got myself a souvenir cup! LOVED, LOVED LOVED IT!

Had such an AMAZING weekend at Niagara Falls Comic Con. Attended no less than 10 panels including the "Police Academy" reunion which was by far the best! Bought goodies from some of the dealers, and was personally roasted by the one and only Bobcat Goldthwait! I need to make this a yearly thing!

Tim Hortons had finally seen the error of their ways and saw fit to bring back their melts. The bacon, turkey, and grilled cheese have returned. Sadly, the ham melt has not. I still call it a win. The turkey melt wad always a very close second! 😊

My nephew @snowballwolf.bsky.social surprised me tonight with a package of "Masters of the Universe" gummies. The 7 year old in me is overjoyed! I absolutely love the retro packaging complete with Filmation-style characters. One small caveat, however. There wasn't a single Skeletor to be found.

Redeemed my free Birthday shake at DQ today. Life is good! 😊

Had such a great time at Pin Up for my Birthday yesterday. I decided to celebrate by hosting a fur meet, and I'm so glad I did!! Copped a nice buzz, sang along to plenty of great tunes, played some retro games, and shared a lot of laughs! Probably the best Birthday I've had in recent memory!

With today being my Birthday, my incredible nephew gave me this. Needless to say. It definitely tugged on the ol' heartstrings! But in truth, I should be thanking him for being such an important part of MY story. When he came into this world, he literally changed my life for the better! ♥️

The new 'Masters of the Universe' movie opens in just under a month. All I have to say is this.... If the powers-that-be don't create a popcorn bucket similar to this, I will be sorely disappointed. That is all.

3 weeks ago my band, The Basement Dwellers performed at a charity event called "Java Jams" at the Royal City Mission. It was such an incredible night. Not only were we chosen to be the final band (out of 6) to perform, we were the only band to receive a STANDING OVATION! Still can't believe it!

I had such a great time suiting up as Kelvin yesterday for the cherry blossom fur meet at High Park in Toronto! Must've had at least 25 people ask if they could take a picture with me! The joy on all of the kids' faces..... the high fives, etc. just warmed my heart! People ❤️ this yellow bird!!

Went to see the Michael Jackson biopic this afternoon. I absolutely LOVED this film!! I was excited about it over 2 years ago when I first saw images of Jaafar Jackson AS Michael. I can count at least 10 times throughout where I had head-to-toe goosebumps. I can't wait for the continuation!

I just realized I hadn't posted here in a month. This emulation machine I've been building has taken up about 99.99% of my time since I began working on it. But, it's coming together! A lot of work, patience and a handful of roadblocks along the way. Gotta say though, it's nice to have a project!

My new toy! For a long time, I've wanted to invest in a Mini PC for the sole purpose of retro gaming ... and my Raspberry Pi (with its extreme limitations) just wasn't cutting it. This beast should handle everything up to PS3 and Xbox 360. Has Ryzen 7, 32GB RAM, Radeon Vega 8 GPU and a 1TB SSD.

R.I.P. to Mr. James Tolkan, whom I'd just learned had passed away yesterday. He was a fixture in many 80's films including "Back to the Future", "Top Gun" and "Masters of the Universe". Although I didn't get to meet him, I was able to take this photo while he was signing autographs at Fan Expo '25

Arguably my favorite part of FE was around 4am on Saturday. @snowballwolf.bsky.social was hot and couldn't sleep, so I accompanied him to the hotel lobby to cool down. Upon returning, we'd found a roommate had taken our bed. This led us to touring the hotel and a Guitar Hero jam in the game room!

This past weekend, I attended my 6th consecutive Furnal Equinox convention with @snowballwolf.bsky.social . Although I was sleep deprived, it was still an amazing time! On Saturday, I performed in the Masquerade talent show for my 4th time. Really proud of this performance as I held nothing back!

Attending John's funeral this morning. My best friend @sinclairiverse.bsky.social was going to come with me, as he knew John as well. But, he's in a lot of pain as a result of kidney stones. I may just come for the service and pay my respects to his family. Doubt I'll stay for the reception.

Treated myself to Pablo's Fried Chicken tonight. Easily the best chicken joint in town! A 4-piece with potatoes and gravy was dirt cheap via DoorDash, thanks to having Dash Pass, included with my Prime membership, as well as a 50% off coupon! The servings are so huge. I have plenty for tomorrow!

Went to see "EPIC", the Elvis Presley concert film last night. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I had goosebumps from beginning to end and found myself singing along through the entire thing! As a fan who owns every concert released on DVD/Blu-ray, 👇, it was amazing to see so much unreleased material!

Made a little something different tonight! Nacho chili cheese dogs using Taco Bell nacho cheese and Tim Hortons canned chili. Sure. They may look like someone vomited all over them, but take my word for it.... These were DELICIOUS! I just wish I had all beef dogs. That would've been next level!
