Bio: As both the head and founder of the Intelligence Division's modern form, it should come as no surprise that Nikka is fiercely intelligent and analytical. Like her brother, she's outwardly quiet, but usually that's more to do with the fact that she's consumed with her own work. When she does interact with others though, she's kind and deeply protective, but isn't afraid to speak up when she thinks someone needs to hear it. This can result in her sometimes crossing as cold or brash, but she always has everyone's best interest at heart.

Especially her little brother.

Probably one of the busiest people in Tower Iris, being the chief IO is already complicated enough, but when she's off duty, she's straight to floor one to act as a doctor. With little time for hobbies, she's managed to work what few she has into her work, spending more time than you'd think would be necessary with her IO PDA and keyboard. She gets away with it being the chief IO, but... Surely it can't be all work and no play for her.

As a result of how involved she is, she's rarely home, but if she regrets any of it, she doesn't show it. But, in general, it's hard to tell what's going on in her head at any given time, and few can say they truly know her, even Mason and Chester. Her shared old-world curiosity and deep affection for her family has persisted throughout the years, however. Especially considering there's not a day that goes by that she doesn't think about her missing dad.

Like Mason, she carries a memento of Marshall Grady into the mist with her, that being his combat knife. Though she relies on it less than Mason does his pistol, she treasures the weapon in much the same way.

Cut the sprite size in half (thanks to an INCREDIBLY useful tool made by an absolute legend, thank you so much @yaonam.bsky.social <3<3<3) and it instantly eliminated all the lag issues I've been having. Don't make your sprites super big, kids!

Bio: Quiet and reserved, Mason usually keeps to himself, though he is known to be impulsive and brash at times when in a stressful situation. A total mama's boy, Nalla Grady is one of the few people he's totally comfortable with. His sister Nikka and their shared childhood best friend Chester are the only other two people who hold that honor.

Deeply curious about the old world, and the depths of the mist. Always carries around a copy of the old world book "After They Fell", and has probably read it hundreds of times in the years since he received it as a gift from his dad, Marshall. It's partially responsible for that overwhelming curiosity that drives him day in and day out. His sister is probably responsible for the rest of that curiosity. She inspired him to become a Mist Diver when she enlisted, herself.

Though he struggles to recognize it, he's become a talented Mist Diver over the years, and it shows in the way he acts while diving, for better and for worse. It's taken him a lot of time and effort to reach this point, but he's well liked both by his allies and his community, even if they don't really understand him at times.

He wields and prefers Marshall's custom "Inox Ghost" Beretta 92FS, even though the standard issue assault rifles are more reliable weapons in his line of work. He inherited it when it was left behind by Marshall, who disappeared in the middle of the night seventeen years ago.

The name of the weapon is fitting, he thinks.

There's Nothing in the Stars is an upcoming post-apocalyptic gay furry visual novel, releasing mid-2026. Assume the role of Mist Diver Captain Mason Grady as he and his Gemini squad delve deep into the hostile mist that blankets their dying world, seeking answers that might just be able to save it.
