Hello! Akira here. How We Made the Moon Cry is currently live on Kickstarter, and we still have a significant journey ahead of us. I would like to address a curious inquiry regarding our reward tiers: "Why are there so few extras?" The short and simple reason is moneyt As an indie publisher, each additional item, whether a bookmark or an alternative cover, increases production, procurement, and shipping costs. These additions necessitate a much higher funding goal as well. While I would enjoy offering a wider variety of prints, stickers and bonuses, my priority is ensuring the project remains sustainable by focusing our budget on artist and book designer costs. The book itself is the highlight of this Kickstarter and represents the culmination of everyone's hard work. We have approximately 20 days remaining in the campaign and around $6k to reach. We need your continued support during this final stretch to ensure this project reaches the finish line. Every pledge brings us closer to making this book a reality!

I grew up in a backwards and ignorant Scottish town. Every trans person that lived in the area was talked about by people like a monster. I met my first ever queer friend online and are still friends with them to this day. Having access to seeing some form of trans joy saved me.

Honestly so just worn down by social media sites. Learned the other day I've been shadow banned on insta for who knows how long and nothing I do fixes it. If any one has any experience or knowledge on how to fix it I'd be really appreciative 🙏

Reminder that supporting an artist and an indie project is only so that artist can survive while they create their project since otherwise it would be impossible to that project to be made. It doesn't and never didn't mean that you have power on what the artist does with their OWN project.
