Japanese has too many words. It still feels like I only know a tiny percentage of them lol. Nothing for it but to do flash cards forever.

Just wanted to spread a positive sentiment, and add, even if you're not a fursuit maker and want to make a fursuit, try carving your own head. There's plenty of tutorials these days and the act of doing it even if you fail is invaluable.

I encourage every fursuit maker to try sculpting their own base even once; It doesn’t matter if it’s not perfect, you made it and nothing like it will ever exist because it is yours. Tiger received a lovely gift from @toastedlynx.toaster.cat! This bar is putting out 750 mSv/hr of therianising radiation, but don’t worry I actually have a nuclear licence! Still, I’m the kind of tiger that is looking forward to finding out the side effects later :P
It's interesting how I seem to be hitting a point where I can understand what not that long ago felt like impossibly complicated Japanese sentences easily (so long as everything's within my tiny vocab) but producing anything feels like it takes forever and it's probably all wrong.
It's quite motivating to find that already I can remove the English definition from some flash cards and only use the Japanese definition. Hopefully over time the percentage increases :3

Sometimes I look up Chinese words by typing Japanese words that contain the same or equivalent characters and backspacing all the unneeded characters out. This is probably some how sacrilegious.
It seems I make the most progress in Japanese when I absolutely soak my brain in it to the point of saturation. Which seems obvious and almost self-evident saying it aloud lol. I guess the trick is to do that in a sustainable way.

The hardest kanji isn't 鬱, it's a tie between 生 and 大. Trying to read them causes me 鬱.
