I stream on Twitch (and YouTube) sometimes. twitch.tv/toastplaysthis Self-published author of Beneath a Sapphire Sky: The Story of Us. Author. That's neat.

Thanks to everyone who downloaded my book this weekend while it was free! The promo is over, but it's still available to read for free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription, or to purchase. I do hope you all enjoy the beginning of their "story of us," and I hope you look forward to their future :)

Here's a little snippet of Beneath a Sapphire Sky. Adam has just arrived at a beautiful green exomoon, & he's eager to see it in person. His VI thinks he should conduct an orbital scan before he goes down. What could go wrong? Grab it for free this weekend! #Booksky #scifi #IndieAuthor #FreeBook

A small snippet from Beneath a Sapphire Sky. Adam has just reached an earthlike exomoon for the first time.

“Plot a course.”
Callisto charted its way toward the planet, parking itself in orbit above the Earthlike moon. As they approached, Adam peered out the cockpit’s glass. The gas giant hung in the distance like a sapphire marble, its rings tilted at nearly forty-five degrees. Even more breathtaking was the jungle moon below, its swirling clouds making it look like a greener Earth. He stared out the window at the two blue worlds, silent for a moment. “Wow,” he muttered. “It’s beautiful, Callisto. You weren’t kidding.”
“I do not possess the capacity for humor.”
“We should work on that. Set a course for landing. I have to get down there.”
“I recommend a detailed orbital survey before—”
“Figure it out on the way down,” Adam interrupted. “Let’s just go.”
“Understood. Commencing entry vector.” Callisto angled downward into the upper atmosphere, and friction built around the hull as the ghostly violet lightning storm of reentry glowed through the cockpit’s glass.

Tonight's the night! For my #birthday, my first book, Beneath a Sapphire Sky, goes free for 5 days. It's a #scifi story about a man who's stuck in life, gets freedom, and ends up stuck on an alien moon. While there, he finds someone to call home📚💙 www.amazon.com/dp/B0HHK6178J #Booksky #IndieAuthor

While I work on writing the sequel to Beneath a Sapphire Sky, here's a little snippet of the draft. Adam and Riala are exploring old caves beneath another A'drani city, and in search of answers, they only have more questions. Where's the third moon on this ancient mural? #Booksky #scifi

A snippet from the sequel of the novel "Beneath a Sapphire Sky," titled "A Sky Forgotten."

The pair made their way deeper into the tunnel until Callisto instructed them to stop. The wall was the same dark stone and sediment as the rest of the cave.
“What am I looking at?” Adam asked. “There’s nothing here.”
“It is approximately one meter to your left,” Callisto said. “The anomaly is beneath the surface."
He reached out and dragged his palm over the wall, brushing away sediment until a cold metal panel met his skin. As more dirt fell away, a faded pattern emerged: one large, ringed circle sat beside four smaller circles arranged in a line. Curved lines passed through the second and third circles, with thinner arches connecting them.
“It appears to be a manufactured panel, Captain.”
“That looks like Mar’xo,” Riala said, leaning closer. “But there are only four moons.”
Adam wiped more dirt away from the engraving. “Callisto, what do you think?”
“That is a logical conclusion,” Callisto replied. “The two connected bodies are likely A’dran and Ban’xo.”
Riala reached out and touched the panel herself. “But where is the sky-father’s little eye?”

To everyone who's downloaded Beneath a Sapphire Sky so far, thank you! I genuinely hope you enjoy Adam and Riala's first story. It means a lot to me that there are people out there seeing it and giving it a chance. It's free until Monday night on Amazon!

Random aside, it's my birthday, and I hate my birthday. But as a celebration for getting another year older, I hope some sci-fi fans have some interest in my story and are curious about the mysteries. As a random dude with aphantasia who wrote on a whim, that's the best birthday gift I could get.

My book's FREE for 5 days! I'd love to see it get into people's hands, so it'd mean a lot if you give it a read! If you like #scifi, first contact w/ aliens, & time travel, you might enjoy it! BSS is about "us." If you like it, please look forward to book 2 (truth) soon™ :) #booksky #indieauthor

Since my birthday is next week, I'll be doing a promo from 10/8-10/12 where you can get my book for free! Beneath a Sapphire Sky is Adam's story of "us" (his family) & how it came to be. He discovers time travel, gets a spaceship, explores the stars, and meets the most important person in his life.

Now that it's not the middle of the night: My book actually went live last night. It's on Kindle Unlimited and available as an eBook and paperback. www.amazon.com/Beneath-Sapp... It's about a guy who builds his own life and finds somewhere, and someone, to call home. #booksky #scifi #firstbook

Adam discovered #timetravel to escape a life that felt like it was going nowhere. His journey eventually takes him over 500 light-years from Earth, where he never expected to find something worth staying still for. #scifiromance #indieauthor

The Royal Road preview is officially updated ahead of the release! If you'd like to read the prologue and first three chapters ahead of launch, you can do so here: www.royalroad.com/fiction/1762... It's my first time writing a story of this scope, so I do hope people out there enjoy it.

It's almost time. My first #novel, "Beneath a Sapphire Sky: The Story of Us," is officially up for preorder on Amazon. The full story releases September 7th, and I'll have the opening chapters on Royal Road for free on Sunday ahead of launch. www.amazon.com/Beneath-Sapp... #Booksky #scifi

Feels so weird to be a self-published author. If you read the story on Royal Road or if you read the full novel on Amazon, I do hope you enjoy it. Never in a million years would younger me have believed he'd write a book some day.

I genuinely expected Amazon to take longer, but they approved the eBook very fast. Paperback is still in review but when it's all settled I'll share a proper link. If you know the book, you know though, and it's set to go live Monday. Feels *really* weird to be an actual author on Amazon lmao

For anyone interested: With my novel I was writing completed, I've been doing a pass of some of the older chapters. The entire first arc has been revised and expanded quite a bit, and the entire first half has some small changes. It's still the same story at its core :) Links below if you want.

I can officially say I've actually managed to finish a novel. As of tonight, the draft is officially complete. It'll be posted as-is biweekly until the finale on September 6th. I'll likely refine/expand some bits for the final draft. The final three chapters were pretty emotional to write.

I'm terrible about posting on social media for streams and stuff and advertising myself gives me massive anxiety sometimes, but it's rare when I get creative ideas. It's even rarer when they're 200+ pages long. The story is fun to write so I hope that as I work through the draft, people like it.

I am bad about it and don't think about posting here sometimes. For people who have been around streams, I started writing a novel a few weeks ago because I had an idea and just started running with it. As I get close to finishing it, I've been posting the draft on Royal Road, 40 pages as of now.
