I do cool splatoon stuff @LUTI.bsky.social B: jpg-is.online
Thankful again to be a part of this massive event Until next year 🫡
This riptide we made an effort to improve splatoon's stream downtime by filling in with content recorded on site. Here's a behind the scenes demo on how this worked! Hope you all enjoyed the stream :)
Reposting this here for visibility. This is the kind of stuff that honestly makes me wanna just stop running events like LUTI. We can only do so much and our time and deadlines not being respected then us being blamed in return is very frustrating #compsplatoon
With over 480 teams for luti, listing your results as "listed on sendou" will not help. Seeding staff can't click into 2934 player profiles in order to get that, it's why the form exists.
Call me crazy doin all this for a local but I’m here for a good time
Hey everyone! I've had a great run since 2020, being able to help with so many different events within the community. I've gotten to a point where life has gotten so busy, and the scene has gotten even busier. I believe my time has come to start moving away from online events to focus on life 🧵
Riptide always manages to out-do itself year after year, thank you to everyone who always makes it so special 🫶 And the toasty cam !!!
When this happened, there was so much panic behind the scenes that never saw the public eye. Many TOs no longer felt safe running their events, knowing that there was intentional harm done to try and attack the SSC, that does all of its volunteer work to help in keeping the scene safer, and TOs.
Joy@joythedatanerd.bsky.social · last yr.Worth noting that splatsafety was doxxed and the resulting doxx was circulated as a result of this case. The backlash against splatsafety is conveniently memory holed now but it was intense and quite serious.
over 70 commentator applications for riptide is kinda nuts ngl

TOs have every right to DQ you whenever they see it appropriate. I thought the community was upset how all the TOs just followed what Splat Safety did, so you all just wanted TOs to be able to do it on the fly. This is that alternative, absolute authority within their realms. I can’t stand it.
