Father was a harsh man.Tough disciplinarian. Once, he caught me smoking cigarettes. As punishment he locked me in a cupboard, & wouldn't let me out until I'd eaten the entire contents of Knowsley Safari Park. Including the gift shop. He never told me why.
I wouldn't worry about Earth getting hotter; we can easily sort that with a nuclear winter.
Had the displeasure of meeting Rod Liddle at a charity do once. He is surprisingly in the earth, and it's VERY funny.

Sadly, The Cinema Library will be closing its doors tonight, so it may be your last chance to read a book on the big screen. The 12 hours we've been in business have been a joy and a learning curve. I know now that people read at different speeds, and some found the page turning sound distracting.
