The older gentleman, Mael, seems to be a peculiar realm. The background of flowers behind him seem to warble and ripple, while he appears to be standing in a pool of pitch-black water. Floating in the air are sheets of paper, to which he has a hand raised, with magic in his hands (and from his eye), seemingly disintegrating each sheet of paper slowly as he is able to perceive the viewer, despite the white in his eyes indicating blindness. His right hand sports a walking cane, which he is using to support himself with.
