73 years ago today, the BBC broadcast Nigel Kneale's The Quatermass Experiment. Sadly, only 2 episodes remain, with a fly crawling across the screen in episode 2. Luckily, a film version (The Quatermass Xperiment) in 1955, starring Brian Donlevy, survives to show us the full story.
Sad to hear of the passing of Sam Neill, who kept us entertained for many years in films such as The Omen III, Event Horizon, Jurassic Park, Possession and In the mouth of madness. Always seemed a very nice person, when the world needs more of them. RIP.
