Kyle wasn’t my favorite driver 15-20 years ago. Hell, he was the villain in my head canon, like so many other Jr fans. Loved to root against him. When I stepped into the media, you have to let those biases go. That’s when I started to actually get to know the man. The champ. The husband, father.

Alex Zanardi was the one I chose in school when we had to name and explain an example. A truly inspiring human being. Never gave up. Always made a best out of his situation. RIP Alex
