A fact that I will never stop repeating: ICE detention is NOT supposed to be punishment. They literally print that in the information new detainees get.

A prominent Jan. 6 defendant with ties to the administration warns J6ers that the $1.6m “Anti-Weaponization” fund may have other priorities, with so many Trump allies requesting payment. “There might not be anything left for Janaury 6 damages by the time they actually get to us.”
The Jan. 6 defendant Chris Van Hollen is referring to is Andrew Paul Johnson. He promised to share what he called "Trump bucks" with two young children he sexually abused in order to keep them silent. He is now serving a life sentence in prison.
