Gary Neill, who is standing as the Reform UK candidate in Edinburgh Central, made the comments at The Future Speaks hustings at the Greyfriars Charteris Centre in the city's Southside. The hustings focussed on questions from teenagers in Edinburgh, with pupils from schools including James Gillespie's High School, George Watson's College, and George Heriot's School making up most of the audience.
