Very average.

It's pretty striking to me that 2 days after the US midterms there aren't hordes of Republican lawyers and operatives running around yelling 'stop the steal' and filing lawsuits. Something has changed.

It’s National Donut Day! During WWI, the Salvation Army’s “Donut Lassies,” women volunteers who baked and delivered donuts to soldiers on the front lines, became so popular that they had their own song! Donuts became a theme of Salvation Army fundraising efforts, like this 1922 "donut race" in D.C.

Don't Forget the Salvation Army (My Doughnut Girl) sheet music. Cover features an illustration of a "Doughnut Girl" holding a bucket full of doughnuts. Inside page features the sheet music for the song. Library of Congress WWI sheet music collection.Salvation Army doughnut race. Three women stand behind waist-high donuts.
