Good evening and happy Labor Day from East Tennessee. We labored today, I had my five mile walk with Xavier and then pulled weeds and poison ivy. Then I grilled ribs that have been marinating since yesterday while the better half made pasta salad and then turned apples into applesauce.

Our Birthday Week comes to an end with the completion of my 64th circuit of the sun. We went to an orchard for apples, then drove the Foothills Parkway before a nice lunch.

A couple days ago, Mike Johnson mocked Thomas Massie for suggesting House leadership could keep Congress out to avoid the new Epstein Files Transparency Act, calling the idea “stupid” and “nonsensical.” Now he has canceled the final two weeks of September.
