I have read New Mutants #1 through #17 as well as the Magik mini-series, and have now arrived at the first Sienkiewicz issue. And even starting on that first page, Bill doesn’t play around!!!
I’m reading The New Mutants by Mcleod, Buscema, Claremont et al. Surprised how well it holds up and how invested I am in the characters. A single bronze age comic really was a whole ass meal back in the day too!

Fall of X readthrough brought me to '23's Children of the Vault by @denizcamp.bsky.social and Luca Maresca. What a highlight! Great high concept writing married with standout characterisation. Doesn't get better than this.

Disclosure Day. Not boring! But, the earnestness of Spielberg’s thesis statement feels 20 to 30 years out of date. The film carries all of his worst boomer lib tendencies on his sleeve. By the film’s climax I even found those inclinations to be in poor taste considering the moment we are in.

I remember a time not too long ago where you could go to cons and get your books signed for free and strike up conversations with creators you admire. Now it’s $15 per signature and more commodification of *everything* What’s the end goal? Who will this hobby be for anymore?
Stoked to be heading to London for MCM comic con this weekend. Incredibly excited to meet Joe Kelly, the writer of some of the first US comics I ever read! The Dutch juniorpress editions of his X-Men run are still etched in my mind; more specifically X-Men #76 (the origin of Maggot!)
