Now that I think of it, almost all the hype moments from the previous arcs were during when the mc isn’t around/taking a major role… I’m starting to think the mc’s plot armor might just be too strong. So strong that all challenges and tribulations get resolved instantly, leaving basically no impact.

So far, the 4.0 stories are just not that interesting. Each of the previous planets had a few patches of hype moments, but I’m not seeing any so far in 4.x Like I thought himeko would be hype, fighting asat would be hype, but it just felt so underwhelming.
