Canes season tickets were already a tough get. Bringing home Lord Stanley didn’t make things any easier. #RaiseUp

I don’t know what to put here. In short: Dad. Clemson alum. Canes (NHL) fan. Nintendo supporter. Semi-lapsed wrestling mark. Patiently working my way towards retirement.
Watching movies in the background as I try to drill through my inbox. With each rewatch, I’m happy with “Frozen Empire” being my second favorite #Ghostbusters movie. It’s not going to win any awards, but it’s fun.
I don’t remember why I started boycotting Electronic Arts - but I’m pretty sure the last new thing I bought from them was some Rock Band 3 DLC. Them going fully private under Saudi ownership gives me new juice to continue ignoring them.
EA officially goes private tonight, meaning: - EA will no longer trade on the NASDAQ for the first time in 36 years - All stockholders of EA (including many employees) will receive $210/share - EA will take on $18 billion (!) in debt, putting it on the hook to pay ~$1.8 billion/year in interest
Interested in the reasoning for starting fresh / leaving the Rockers branding behind.
It’s official. The WNBA’s 16th team is the Cleveland Sirens.
Somebody went to school to learn how to make graphics like this and gets paid to post them with a straight face.
I’ve been here since ‘23 and this is the first I’ve seen this. No judgement, I just want this in my feed.
A classic
Spent the last hour putzing around DreamHost and Google Workspace debating if we need the latter. For the cost and what my little non-profit does, I’m leaning towards no.
Kurt Angle is still the funniest bastard in the game. 🤼♂️
Bowman touches on a lot of my feelings a/b Raiders. It’s a nice game - but it’s a shallow. But it’s fun, so you keep coming back. But the slow drip of dopamine is covering up stuff we’ve seen in Splatoon for the last 9 years. On top of that DK Bananza was better at the addictiveness and complexity.
it's interesting to see kyle tear into the term "gameplay loop" (and its increased dominance in game discourse) from a cultural perspective when, ime, its staying power comes from its professional adoption, which is primarily to serve the /production and finance/ of dev youtu.be/eac2iPSrdmA?...
As an unbiased party, these will be great early season marquee games. Considering how irrelevant USC has been, playing early may be a good thing.
The fact that the games are in August is truly gross but again, sadly take what we can get #FUSC fightingirish.com/news/2026/08...
Say what you will about “ball and gun” gamers, but this has been the industry for the last 15-20 years. The American market is boring.
"Surely expanding the list to 20 would show plenty of new games" Well. Sure. Each list had exactly one new game reach the top 20. The rest were mostly long running live service or annualized sports titles. This is just the PS/XBX market right now.
that ad makes it look like Reba McEntyre is about to show you some hentia pr0n and it wouldn’t completely surprise me if she looks at that. she seems open minded.
Sure
Followed up with Amazon to collect my refund. (They told me to follow up after it shipped.) Even in text chat, it was apparent that the new rep was confused/annoyed by the first rep, but to their credit - they honored it. Glad to see this $3T company didn’t make a big stink over $50.
Reached out to Amazon to complain about a shipping delay. Wound up getting expedited shipping and a complete refund on the order. I just wanted a $10 credit, but this works too.
Stumbled into the closing minutes of the Femi/Lesnar HIAC match. I don’t know the build aside from what I’ve tangentially consumed online, but I liked Lesnar using Taker’s tombstone after giving Femi 3 F5s.
If Sony has a Wii U generation, I may actually care about their first party output again.
"Let PlayStation have a Wii U generation" goes so hard.

None. They’re scams. (If you’ve got time, ask me how I know.) You’re better served to just save up a rainy day fund.
Home owners: what home warranty company do you use? I’ve had Home Warranty since 2017 and I’ve now had enough of their shit. The company has gone waaaayyy downhill in terms of coverage and value
In the span of about 3 months, Nintendo gave me a StarFox remake, a new Splatoon, a new Fire Emblem, and TWO brand new Virtual Boy games. This summer is very Terence coded. All it’s missing is a stealth Wave Race release 🤞🏾
ZERO RACERS and D-HOPPER coming to Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics on Aug 4 (previously unreleased games) A screen color customization feature will also be added on Aug 4 for Virtual Boy
More backbone than the fucking hurricanes organization (whose ownership and management have full control over AHL Chicago)
Two days after signing Cal Foote, Swedish team Färjestad BK has backed out of the agreement. The club says it heard concerns, disappointment and questions about the signing. Foote was acquitted of sexual assault charges last summer stemming from the 2018 Canadian world jr trial
This dude is 40. I wouldn’t say that Millennials are in the clear.
Vivek Ramaswamy is booed offstage after telling Ohio crowd, 'The truth of the matter is, people in my generation have already made it. We're gonna be fine.'
Sitting on “parent’s row” at my daughter’s gymnastics practice. On my work laptop full of fake looking dashboards and bar graphs is giving me a weird case of imposter syndrome. Not because I don’t belong, but because this looks fake. Almost like a caricature of someone with a corporate job.

Nintendo sure loves decking out the San Diego Trolley.
Tried the new Costco chicken strips. They’re a worthy addition to the food court menu — but they give you way too much. The tenders are huge.
PCGamer headlines continue to spit hot fire. This one is perfect. www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...
After laying off Battlefield 6 developers, EA pays its CEO $38 million because Battlefield 6 did so well
That's an $8 million hike over 2025.
