So I have continued doing this thing where I use or get rid of at least one object per day. I started about a month ago (after having been on a tear of getting rid of things in general for months now) and it's hugely satisfying and makes me look at things differently. Sometimes it's clearing out a >

ohh man, Walter Koenig died. I mean, he was 90 and it wasn't unexpected, but it's just one of those THINGS. I met him at a con like...38 years ago, and he was a really nice guy and it's just this feeling of almost all of my Star Trek guys being gone that is so SAD. Here is my (bad) con photo.
I needed reminding so YOU may need reminding: it's spaghetti squash season and it's SO easy (once you get it split) and SO GOOD.
I've been using my morning treadmill running to watch movies I've always meant to see but never made time for. Last week was Blithe Spirit, which was delightful, laugh out loud funny, and made me immediately go look for femme slash for it. (And found it.) DELIGHTFUL. >
we had a hugely relaxing Saturday and then Sunday came and my whole body was OVER relaxing. I ran, I finished watching History of Sound (beautiful, queer, heartbreaking, and lovely all at once), we swapped closets for the season, we rearranged art, we put up new pictures in our hallway gallery,
very very chill nor'easter Saturday. we've gone for two walks (in between bouts of rain, it was nice!), read, napped, had soup & grilled cheese for lunch, I did some scrapbooking I've been putting off, and we made stock out of a chicken carcass! Next up: chicken noodle soup, couch time, & a show.

It’s so sad we never gave a small dog any toys at all.
UNLOADED ALL OUR BOOZE TO THE SISTER OF A FRIEND I AM FREEEEEE
what a perfect Sunday. We had my beloved Nan visit yesterday, and a LOVELY night with her and our BFFs, then today was rainy and gross and we went to get the new covid vax, and other than that - god. I had a lovely treadmill run, I did 2 loads of laundry, we changed the sheets, I had a great talk>
I have a weird problem and I keep thinking there HAS to be something I'm not thinking of to solve it. We have a lot of alcohol in the house that we will never drink. Several bottles of chardonnay. A lot of double IPAs, which are not my jam. A great deal of White Claw that no one drinks. I cannot>
Shana tova to everyone celebrating Rosh Hashanah across the Commonwealth and Country. Wishing you a healthy, happy, and peaceful new year.
omg, look at this picture of Paul Gross and Martha Burns I just saw...THE WAY HE IS LOOKING AT HER. LOVE IS SO FUCKING REAL. LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFULLY THEY'VE AGED. GOSH.
this work week started 1 million years ago but now it is FRIDAY, I get to leave early b/c of how nuts the week was, and I'm getting to hang w/my dad at his favorite coffee shop before he heads to ITALY next week.

I watched The Last House on Netflix (no spoilers) last night, and the 1st half, w/the survival stuff, was RIGHT up my alley, A+, and then the 2nd half happened and was so...insane and bewildering that I can't stop thinking about it and I KIND OF think it was right up my alley, as well.
Well, nobody can say that he wasn’t loved. 🐶 we’re going to the animal shelter this weekend to donate his stuff.
A post about Max, that is very long, but could have been so much longer. (TW: dead pets) brooklinegirl.dreamwidth.org/1542722.html

First weekend with Liz away, and Max not here. My dad came to stay over with me tonight to make sure I was OK. ♥️
One of my all time fave memories of back during the start of the pandemic when I was taking the dog out for a walk, but forgot to grab my mask, and somehow had Siri on the whole time
I'm off today & tomorrow & it's been a VERY complicated few weeks at work & I was meeting w/my boss yesterday and ending with "I'll have my work phone with me for any emergencies," and she did this slow, thoughtful nod and said, "...no." 😆 She wouldn't allow it! I'm actually off until Monday!
heading OUT this weekend to visit family, who have a DOG that we can CUDDLE. I'm enormously sad every step of the way - packing the car without Max following along anxiously, hoping to not be left behind; the idea of getting there and not having him; wondering if family dog will miss him.
L is getting her hair cut and I am in THE MOST HIPSTER PLACE in the entire world. It is a combination coffee shop/barbershop. There are barrels for some seats. There is a communal guitar with a sign that says "Musicians, play us a song." Maybe it's just been a WHILE since I've been in Somerville.
#petdeath I know it will get better, or at least different, I know it will, but today was even harder than yesterday or Friday. he's everywhere, or he should be. His green ball is still under the table where he chased it. I got furious this afternoon when I found the peanut butter treat for his >
