Watched Toy Story 3 and 4 tonight (TS4 for the first time). Main takeaway: I want/need a Bunny and Ducky spin-off Next on the list are Spider-Man: Far From Home, No Way Home and Into the Spider-Verse

It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

Finally starting Saint-Pierre gem.cbc.ca/saint-pierre I was a big fan of Republic of Doyle so it's great to see another Allan Hawco show

Watched “The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist” after seeing a lot of positive reviews. Seems pretty hollow tbh. The pro-AI part is pretty out there (as it tends to be) and I don’t feel like it got much past the surface level of really anything.
Season 37 of The Simpsons seems pretty good so far (just finished Treehouse of Horror XXXVI). Haven't really seen any of the recent seasons... long overdue for a rewatch of the golden era
Short walk on this dreary day. Settled in for some nostalgic movies tonight + The Simpsons tracksandtreks.ca/2026-08-01-p...
I have almost 100 tabs open in iOS Safari right now mostly of stuff I was planning to get back to, really need to get it together
Mildly annoyed that superhero movies are still gigantic but mildly happy that it’s Spiderman who I barely consider a superhero and more consider a guy who is also a spider
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ ($168M) passes ‘Avengers: Endgame’ ($157.4M) in earning the biggest opening day at the domestic box office in history.
Just finished Spider-Man: Homecoming for the first time (9 years late). Totally out of the loop with the MCU but it was pretty good. Forever nostalgic for the Sam Raimi trilogy though!!
Today’s launch of ESPN JEOPARDY! marks the fourth new series iteration of the classic format in the last four years. I talked to EP Michael Davies and execs at Sony and Disney about the expansion, how the show is doing on streaming, and what comes next. www.vulture.com/article/why-...

The East Pointers' Schoonertown is easily one of my favourite discoveries this year theeastpointers.bandcamp.com/album/schoon...
Loving the cooler temperatures this week, even with the RDF. 15 degrees is perfect!

what’s going on with the world man. why is the far right resurgent everywhere? it’s easy to blame whatever policy boogeyman (neoliberalism, housing shortage, immigration, etc etc) but I think it has to be something deeper. maybe lived memory is dying out of how evil fascism is
Just finished Sorry to Bother You (2018), was quite the ride to say the least 🍿 letterboxd.com/film/sorry-t...

Back when the web had character. Here's an Angelfire homepage dedicated to the color purple (1997). The bottom of every page says, "Purple is not a colour, it's a way of life."
I love Montreal so much. Can't wait to visit again someday!
One of my favourite things about Montreal is the lively park culture. Birthday parties. Barbecues. Music (organized and not). Alcohol is legal with picnics. Pétanque. Bathrooms available. It’s totally normal to meet up with friends at a park on Friday night instead of a bar or someone’s apartment.
