@snook.ca Totally agree re: your "comments were a mistake" post, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. They really contributes to the community divide we have now, and has made divisive opinions seem more "the norm" and thus attracting followers rather than staying isolated.

Tech conference in Istanbul. Would you feel comfortable attending? (Potentially a silly question, I live in Canada and haven’t been to that region of the world yet – I’m curious where my blind spots are.)
Does anyone else have a "junk drawer" folder on their computer desktop to hold files that you know you only need once? Makes it so much easier to find recent files and also to keep things neat by wiping it out every now and then.
