Happy 2 year anniversary to losing my translation job to GenAI & starting to make YouTube videos. It was (and still is) terrifying but somehow, quite literally against all odds, it's working out and I'm happy. 😊

tw disordered eating This is the longest of long shots but do I know anyone who knows anyone who takes commissions for SDV mods? A lot of the women talk about diets and worry about getting fat and as someone recovering from an eating disorder, it's not that helpful.

Why is good vision locked behind a paywall? Like why does it cost so much money to put some glass in front of my eyes so I can see good and not accidentally walk into a vat of acid, or whatever? That's pretty messed up.

I just found out that summer hibernation exists and it's called aestivation. That's me, I aestivate. I sleep more and get less done during the summer. It's almost 8pm and still 30c outside. I'm gonna stay aestivating until October, thanks.

I hate looking up stuff like how to animate a simple, straight arrow in DaVinci because all of the results are like HERE'S THIS THREE PRONGED ARROW THAT SPITS FLAMES AND DOES A BACKFLIP. The internet is truly awful.

World Leaders, the ignorant people electing them and money-hungry corporations ignored scientists' warnings about man-made global climate change for 50 years and now it's here. I'm sure ignoring their advice against rampant AI development and data centers will yield different and positive results.
