I made a goal to clear StarFox Adventures out of my backlog before StarFox on Switch 2 came out and I did it. I'm not trying to get it day one but I like catch up with at least one previous entry in a series before I consider the newest one

Messing with a modern PC on my CRT TV. I got a Raspberry Pi3 to play old shows off of but then I learned about MoonlightEmbedded and through Ethernet it makes my CRT a pretty seamless display. Composite only but it still looks sharper than other adapters and it even displays 4:3 for better or worse.
