I tried a chai-with-a-shot-of-espresso last week because they called it Death Chai. I have since had two more. This will no doubt go very well.

Because the first true don’t count. If I don’t know you from fandom, I’ll likely block, it’s not personal, it’s just Bluesky not hosting locked accounts
One thing I absolutely appreciate about Canada is that a small coffee is actually small.
The Godfather. We were far too young but my mom wanted to see it. We would climb on top of the station wagon, couldn’t really follow the plot, but we weren’t bored?
Name a film you watched at a drive-in.
Connecting flight to YQB only 1.5 hours late, counting this as a win. Travel delays have been brutal lately!
Oh god I’m in a room with the guy who posted this. He is EXACTLY that guy.
Just saw a post by a person with a non-standard spelled first name in LinkedIn saying how it was disrespectful to not, you know, just look at how they signed their email when addressing your reply. So they don’t respond to those.

This thread is exactly it. And why, I think, that in-person/local interactions are more and more important. Because yes they’re also reading Discord and text messages….
Look, much more knowledgeable people than I have been working on this, so I guess check out what they have to say about what we can do, and hopefully one day people won't have to consider if they want their post about their day or art or their friend to end up in training data without their consent.
Do I want another cup of coffee this morning? Or do I *need* another cup of coffee this morning?
It’s impossible to convey the sheer fannish joy of Army at a BTS concert. The people watching is fantastic, the outfits are so creative, you keep being offered such cute handmade gifts, everyone is having an amazing time. 💜❤️💜❤️
Hey, in the probably bad ideas column, I’m organizing a Heated Rivalry Dance Party in DC, October 10. If nobody comes, it’s only money, right? forms.cloud.microsoft/g/WgRN85V2Qf

I don’t think you can blame the seatbelt here…. “A Porter Airlines flight was canceled after a toddler’s seatbelt could not be secured before takeoff”

Would buy in a heartbeat. I need to hit more rural resellers.
Did have a full eight-place setting of uranium glass, though, for a pretty decent price. I wish I'd picked it up.
1. Sharecropper and farm wife - both worked sunup to sundown, mostly outdoors, every day of the week. 2. Small grocery store owners, worked sunup to sundown, mostly indoors, every day of the week. I would have burned out on either of these well before they did!
Enough “what would you do on the commune questions” If you got sent back 100 years and were given your grandparent’s job, what are you doing?
My favorite travel scenario is landing mostly on time but waiting 45 minutes for an open gate
Made a delicious paella tonight. Definitely only recommend if you have a lot of kitchen help and enough people to eat it.

I am in full cottage mode. Wearing black and white plaid pajama bottoms, a different black and white plaid fleece and red moccasins
Loins girded for a 4 hour layover today in YYZ. Hmm, what’s good for brunch?

First, it’s up to 92 fics today. Plus, there are 145 fics with the tag Vampire Ilya Rozanov. My normal is resetting?
You think you’re in a normal fandom and then you realize there are 87 fics with the tag Vampire Shane Hollander

I keep running into the non-US use of the word “sat”. “We were sat at a table” is not the same as “We were sitting at a table” or “We were seated at a table”. Seems to be a Britishism? But I’ve seen it in fic and now on a brits-encounter-US-culture podcast.
Soooo. The holiday (observed) this week falls on Friday July 3, so that apparently means my regular Friday trash pickup slides to Saturday, July 4.
We have been asked to work from elsewhere on Thursday, extreme heat, street closures, yadda yadda, or maybe we might notice there are only a handful of tourists on the mall?
Somebody just mentioned waffles in passing and now I need to make some
