Speed Demon (2025) is squandered potential. Could have been a fun, wild ride about a demon on an unstoppable train but it’s just dull. It’s also goofy but tries to take itself too seriously at the same time. Not much gore and the violence is fairly tame. #movies #horror *Spoiler in the comments

They Will Kill You (2026) is like Kill Bill meets Ready Or Not with a touch of The Raid for good measure. It’s fun and breezy and light on story. A good time overall but it does wear its minimalist plot thin and didn’t entirely hold my attention. #moviesky #horror #movies

Faces of Death (2026) was actually a decent slasher, and also a satire that comments on the hypocrisy of social media censorship and the harsh reality that most viewers wouldn’t care if it was real, as long as it’s entertaining. Some really dumb moments bring it down but not awful. #movies

Backrooms (2026) has a really neat concept and I loved the exploration scenes and the creepy creations lurking around corners but ultimately the movie left me feeling a bit flat by the end. It needed something else I can’t put my finger on. Didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it. It exists and that’s fine.

Sam Neill will be known for so many iconic roles, but to us, he will always be John Trent... Rest in peace you absolute legend

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy could have been a cool Evil Dead movie if it hadn’t tried so hard to be a serious take on The Mummy mythos for the first 3/4. The deadite sequences toward the end don’t make up for how bad the rest of the movie was, sadly. #moviesky #horrorsky #movies #films

A person’s enjoyment of this movie will really hinge on whether or not they can suffer the ride with this group of characters. Personally, I found them to be mostly insufferable unfortunately. Beyond that, like the road itself, the movie seems without direction or purpose.

The third act of Passenger (2026) really lets this one down. Before that it was tense and scary and creepy, if a bit run-of-the-mill hokey demon stalking people movie, but then it goes into overly familiar territory and “big” special effects ending. Not bad as a one-time watch. #moviesky #horrorsky
