Taking the next few days off work to use up some PTO and looking forward to playing some Wolverine and then a nice long weekend with Fire Emblem.

I think the wildest thing about the PlayStation Kojima news is that this was the thing they did that whole spectacle drone shot that zoomed out to the Columbia pictures lot. I'll be curious- when the dust settles-to see if this was more about Sony wanting to cut ties on the movie/tv side.
Not really much upcoming for me so my Switch 2 might be gathering some dust after the new Fire Emblem for a bit. But happy for the Metroid and Kirby fans.
Woke up late. But basically got caught up on the first 25 minutes of the direct within about 5 minutes and seemingly didn't really miss anything of note.
I wonder how many Gold Skulltula locations I'll remember after all of these years.
Just finished the Final Fantasy Resonance demo. Great throwback to the smaller retro entries in the franchise. Looking even more forward to the full game now.

I saw some headline or thumbnail that suggested Asha Sharma was playing coy on the notion of whether Elder Scrolls 6 would release on PlayStation and my first thought was "pssshhh, you won't still have that job when that game finally comes out."
Late night about to see The Odyssey in 70mm IMAX (which has been pretty fully sold out 5+ showings a day at the one theatre in Phoenix with the format since release).
The new Coco tease for Kingdom Hearts IV last night has left me thinking of my friend Brian "Nabeshin" Jackson, who we sadly lost a few years back. He loved KH and his old twitter account still has the somber, but dark comedy-infused pinned tweet "I died before Kingdom Hearts 4 came out."
Finally saw Brand New Day tonight. And miraculously hadn't really seen any spoilers all week (apart from some of the long-running casting rumors from a while back). Excellent movie! Destin Daniel Cretton has a phenomenal eye for action.

Your Netflix rates are constantly going up so they can burn money on nonsense like this: a 6-hour exclusivity window for a gameplay trailer for a game a whole bunch of people already pre-ordered pretty much sight-unseen.

Caught the limited engagement of the Hadestown film today. It took me a while to warm up to the soundtrack when I first listened. And I've only seen the show live once. The pro-shot recording was so good and gave me so many extra details and nuance that I'd missed. Absolutely beautifully done.
Being an adult today meant realizing I still had vacation days to book over the rest of the year and, since I'm not planning any trips, I just looked at game releases and said, "yeah I'll take a couple days off work...there and... there."
After crunching some numbers, I sadly decided I have to forego trying for Kinda Funny tickets today when they go on sale. San Francisco has just become too expensive. But I hope those that DO go have the same sort of experience and friendships that old KFLs gave me & many others. 💙
Saw the news last night before going to sleep. The only thing I'll miss is Seth Meyers impression. Lindsey Graham exemplified cowardice and political blustering. I can imagine many lives that will be better with him gone. And the few lives that were better with him alive are also shitty people.

What a weird era of tech where being an early adopter is actually the CHEAPEST entry point.
As someone who has never cared too much about graphical fidelity and stuff, I don't know what a Steam Machine would even do for me. Baldur's Gate 3 PC mods is pretty much all that comes to mind and that just ain't worth the price of admission.
Oh my god. After never getting the Persona 4 Golden Platinum on my Vita because of this trophy a decade ago, it looks like this will finally be the run on the PS4 version.
Currently replaying Persona 4 Golden and, honestly, the most pivotal casting is gonna be "how adorable is Nanako?"
