I am considering terrible decisions re: biking Y'know. As usual.
I'm still working my way through FFXIi, and I'm kind of blown away at how FUN the job license board is. It's a bit like having an allowance as a kid. Like, every now and again when I pop into the menu I get to pick out a few fun treats for my characters, OR I can save up for something special.
Mrah ah ah, planning date days. My madness and hubris cannot be contained.
Lots of good porcupine content on the feed yesterday. Great job everybody.
I absolutely do not have the money at the moment But I do need to get a commission of an extremely tired and worn down porcupine or badger with a bike at some point
Having that slow motion fun sensation of having a TTRPG session that you're super stressed about running come together piece by piece in your mind over the week.
Apparently having a morning where I forgot both my glasses and my helmet at home.
Okay I think I've found out what the fuck's been going on with my instagram. It seems like my last post has been picked up by bodybuilding and weightlifting Insta. Now I have met and encountered lots of cool folks in that community, but also: there is some EXTREME derangement in there too.
Drove to work this morning. I will never understand how people who commute by car function when they get to work in the morning. o-o
I took the time to soak chickpeas from dried, then cook them with baking soda, then peel them yesterday. ...I do not know that I will ever do it again. It's SO MUCH EFFORT oh my gosh. Like maybe the soaking, but peeling? Nooooooo!
Planning food related stuff for my trip. My one regret is that I won't be hopping on a bike at all for this, since it's just not practical with my plans. Still, strolling through a city sounds awesome.
Since I'm heading to Montreal in, ooooh... a month, would love any suggestions from folks who have gone before about things to see or places to eat/drink
Doing a lot of biking is so much more fun when you're not tracking it
In other news I'm 20 hours into Final Fantasy XII and if anybody thought my enthusiasm at seeing the various Ivalice races out and about doing stuff would wain by now, they are very wrong.
What I would like from Instagram is a way to not have my account private, but also not have my stuff show up in the Reels algorithm page or whatever. Very obnoxious doing this cat and mouse thing of going off private, checking if there's a deluge of weird comments, deleting, and going private again.
I think it's my natural aversion to marketing speak but every time I see a book with a premise I'm otherwise interested in, if it uses the word 'cozy' I immediately lose most of my interest.
If they think you're technical, go crude. If they think you're crude, go technical. I am a very technical pine.
@triangledelta.bsky.social I ordered a Labatt 40! Me: What's a Labatt*40*? Did you mean 50? Delta:
I should start documenting the comments that I've reported which Instagram has deemed don't go against their TOS. Could be fun.
I'm somewhat considering restarting Madeleine Thien's Book of Records and getting coloured post-its and a highlighter to annotate it.
Entertaining myself this afternoon by tormenting transphobes and racists in my comments section. This is productive and also probably good for my mental health.
An important note. I have named my bikes. The Mule: Grey hybrid with panniers that I use for groceries, etc The Moose: Brown gravel that I use to go fast and fight with cars
Just realized the world road cycling championships are in Montreal this year and I COULD totally go.
Also apparently I lost 10ish lbs in July that's cool.
