🌈 Inclusion is not a policy sitting on a shelf. It’s built in everyday moments. Astra Special Needs School is strengthening its whole-school approach to inclusion, with staff across the school community learning about SOGIESC and how each person contributes to safety, dignity, and belonging.

Rights do not protect themselves. They are defended. South Africa has abstained from adopting the African Charter on Family, Sovereignty and Values, citing conflict with constitutional protections and international human rights principles.

Pride is a protest. 🌈✊🏾 Pride Month arrives at a moment when LGBTQIA+ communities across the world are facing renewed attacks on our rights, our safety, and our freedom to exist fully and openly.

Children deserve communities where safety is lived, not just spoken about. This Child Protection Week, we’ll be gathering in KTC alongside Amava Skills & Education, with support from Safe Place International and Triangle Project, for a day rooted in care, conversation, and community.

Today we mark IDAHOBIT, the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia. A reminder that queer and trans lives are not abstract conversations, but real people, real families, and real communities deserving of safety, dignity, and joy.

We are raising funds for Khumbulani Pride 2026. Khumbulani Pride advocates for the safety, dignity, and rights of Black queer people living in townships, communities that continue to face horrific hate crimes, including corrective rape and murder.

South Africa’s only state transgender surgery clinic is currently able to support just a handful of patients each year, while the waiting list stretches into decades. A stark reflection of what under-resourced gender-affirming healthcare looks like in practice.

Triangle Project is stepping into a transitional co-leadership phase as we strengthen our organisational model and prepare for our 2026 AGM. Grateful for our staff and communities who continue to anchor this work in solidarity. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

🌾 Building Solidarity in Beaufort West Last week’s outreach showed how powerful community is when people gather with intention. We connected with local LGBTQIA+ members, listening, learning, and starting to shape a shared vision for support and collaboration.

🌈 STI Awareness Across West Coast College Campuses 🌈 As we draw a close to STI Awareness Month, here’s why we’ve been quiet online: we spent the past month reaching students across five campuses, opening essential conversations about sexual health, safety and LGBTIQ+ wellbeing.
