Hey @bsky.app we desperately need the ability to turn off reposts from individual accounts. I'm constantly getting spammed with reposts and self-reposts by people I'm following, and having to make the decision to unfollow someone whose content I otherwise enjoy.
We passed each other this morning. I waved, and they put up a solidarity fist. A nice highlight to the day.
I hope the person riding a motor scooter around Portland while wearing a trans pride flag as a cape is having a good day.
I hope you enjoyed your Tuesday morning, because they're getting ready to tear them down. There won't be any more Tuesday mornings.
At this rate, someday, we're going to forget what "balmy" actually means, and it's just going to become another synonym for "cold".
"What should we call our new non-alcoholic cocktail brand?" "Oh! I know! How about Phony Negroni?" "Damn it that's brilliant, and couldn't possibly have any unforeseen cringe-worthy problems whatsoever. Full steam ahead!"
I keep coming back to this song lately. It has a really simple, beautiful melancholy.

There needs to be a massive cultural shift that makes employers stop forcing their customer service people to be bubbly and saccharine and supernaturally personable. Only entitled Boomers enjoy that. It makes the rest of us feel super uncomfortable.
What's with that style of subtitles I've been seeing on videos lately, where each word pops into and out of existence individually as it's uttered in real time? Is that a TikTok trend? Subtitles are supposed to be an accessibility feature, but those look horrifically inaccessible.
Heads up: If you get an unexpected "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" email, it's a phishing attempt. Don't open it. Don't download any attachments. Don't click any links inside. Just delete it. Read this article to learn more.
That Gmail Delivery Status Notification Is Probably a Scam
If you are getting delivery failure messages in your Gmail inbox, don't engage with them. Scammers are using mailer-daemon spam to spread malicious links.

A member of Congress just stole my shopping cart. How's *your* day going?
When deejaying isn't paying the bills and you decide to just give up and go live on a farm... but a very small part of you holds onto the dream.
I haven't used Facebook in almost a year. You know what I really miss about it? Tag groups. It was so fun spending time in shitposting Facebook groups, tagging funny tag groups in the comments and finding all the other wacky tag groups other people were finding.
This morning, I was reminded that we live in a world where the word "Comirnaty" exists, and just... You ever have one of those days?
More pics from that camping trip! Milking it for all it's worth at this point. 😂 After a brief detour into BC, I came back across the border and went to Spokane. Camped the night on top of Mount Spokane, which had some gorgeous views.
I want to know which suit decided it was a good idea to train call center employees to answer the phone with "to whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?" I promise that no ties will be fed into any wringers. I just want to have a word with them.
Make sure you upgrade to the latest version of English for maximum security.
On my camping trip through eastern Washington and neighboring areas, I stopped for a few minutes in Greenwood, BC. I happened to notice this memorial that they very recently built, commemorating the Japanese Canadians who were forced to relocate to Greenwood during WWII.
There are so many funny people out there putting funny stuff on Bluesky, and the best I can come up with is, "Heh, you know why they call it 'sewing'? Because it's sew tedious! 😂 Thank you, I'll be here all week!"
All of my previous visits to Canada have been to Vancouver specifically, or at least would take me through Vancouver. I always make sure I have at least one helping of poutine at a place in Davie Village. This time around, this stop in Osoyoos had to do. 🤷♂️ It was alright though.
More highlights from my big trip. I said I was camping across eastern Washington, but I did pop across the border. It's hard to resist. Canada is just so pretty.
