PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR THESIS RESEARCH Gaylor Fan Identity Study Survey Link: bit.ly/3SORo3x The purpose of this survey is to gather information on individual fans’ history & social media usage in relation to the Gaylor community. See the flyer, or alt-text, for all survey & participant info.

Participants needed for thesis research Gaylor Fan Identity Study Survey Link: https://bit.ly/3SORo3x Study Description: The purpose of this survey is to gather information on individual fans’ history and social media usage in relation to the Gaylor community. The aim of this survey is not to look at specific fan theories, but how the term “Gaylor” has evolved into a distinct sociolinguistic identity as a personal and communal queer identity. The survey will take around 15 - 30 minutes to complete 13 questions that are multiple-choice & open-ended. It will be open from July 13 - August 9, 2026. Participation Criteria: Participants should at least be 18 years old, Part of the LGBTQ+ community, Self-identify as a Taylor Swift fan and a Gaylor Benefits: There are no direct benefits for participants, but the information will be valuable to the fandom and queer communities. The data collected from this research aims to contribute to our understanding of language and sexuality by examining how digital fan spaces form identity. Risks: Potential discomfort can arise when completing the three open-ended questions if it causes you to think of any past homophobia faced online or in your daily life. The risk of participant identity being exposed through an invasion of privacy or breach of confidentiality is minimal since no personable identification information will be collected through the survey. Please think good thoughts for Peppermint today, I just dropped her off for the 1st radiation treatment. Poor baby she looked at me like I’d betrayed her with eyes that seemed to say “this place again? How could you?” 😿 It took everything I had in me not walk out w her. #fuckcancer #SavePeppermint
