Coming from someone who wasn't the biggest fan of Lover when it first came out and still isn't, I can tell you right now I wasn't out here saying her songwriting capabilities were gone and wishing the worst upon her so it would come back. I was actually being, what's the word? Oh right, normal!!

I always try to be positive and welcoming but if you are racist, sexist, homophobic, ableist, voted for Trump, or a bully I don’t want you in my page. I don’t want you in my life. I want people around me who are inclusive and can respect other people’s opinions. I want people to feel loved

This is both disgusting and the underlying reality of how a lot of people think about Taylor’s supposed “mediocrity” and you can’t convince me otherwise (from an interview with Todd Rungren, today’s candidate for the smallest man who ever lived)

When you produced Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell, you said at the time that you didn't care if it succeeded or not, because you just wanted to make fun of Bruce Springsteen. If you produced an album in 2026 to make fun of an artist, who would be your target? Taylor Swift, of course. There's an argument to be made that she ruined music. It's an understandable phenomenon. It's just that, to me, Taylor Swift is the apotheosis of mediocrity. It's the era of the female artists. The biggest artists in the world are female artists at this point, and that's because of video games. Back in the '90s, boys stopped spending money on music and started spending it on video games, and that left the music market with, "Well, where do we go here?" And they said, "Well, there's all these young girls and they've got their allowances, too. Why don't we start making music for young girls instead of Pearl Jam or something like that?"

You can be a fan and not like this album, I'm not saying you can't be. What am I saying is that if you hate her being happy and writing about it then you're not a true fan. If you think she has to be miserable in order for you to like her and her music, then again you're not a true fan.
