#RPGaDAY2026 14. What is a game held in high regard you have yet to play? Even as long as I have been roleplaying, there are so many amazing ttrpgs available. Some old and new I hear a lot about that I really should try someday include Mothership, Delta Green, and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.

#RPGaDAY2026 13. Strain: So far, what is the heaviest set of RPG things you have carried to play? Back in junior high, I walked across town to my friends house with a backpack full of the AD&D 1e PHB, UA, DMG, MM1, MM2, FF, DD, current campaign world box set, binder of notes, and dice.

#RPGaDAY2026 12. Most things end. What is one RPG loss you still feel? At a point in my life, I felt I had to walk away from AD&D so I sold my library. Later, I realized I was wrong and regretted the purge. I have spent decades slowly rebuilding my library of AD&D 1e books. Still missing some items.

#RPGaDAY2026 11. A character made great by having or not having tact. My college roommate, Steve, played an uncouth fighter who got asked why he acted the way he did. Weeks of real game sessions went by with him being morose in character, then suddently a smile of revelation, "Because I am Beorn!!"

#RPGaDAY2026 10. A secret you hope comes out about a character? Looking forward to the time when the drow magic user dramatically removes his mask, cloak, and gloves to reveal he is a dark elf. His party mates know, but those they are working with do not.

#RPGaDAY2026 9. Give one reason why it is a privilege to play with your group. Deep friendships! Over the decades of gaming, we have experienced life together (births, illnesses, graduations, deaths, awards, job changes, etc.). The games brought us together, but the friendships made it a privilege.

#RPGaDAY2026 8. A moment when a character kept or broke their resolve? While playing in a Vampire Hunters Hunted campaign, my character vowed that vampires did not exist. He continually found logical reasons for what he experienced. He never gave into the hysteria that monsters really existed.

#RPGaDAY2026 7. A moment of mercy received or given? As players do the unexpected, mine decided to befriend a goblin tribe rather than vanquish them. They helped them learn how to run a business as butchers and makers of jerkey and smoked meats. We've yet to see the end results of their mentoring.

#RPGaDAY2026 6. Reach: Who would you like to be able to share RPGs with? Young family members. Recently, I ran a one shot of D&D for my two college age nieces who were visiting. They mentioned they have been wanting to try but couldn't find a group. So, I got to be there first DM. I was so honored.

#RPGaDAY2026 5. What burden is a character willing to carry until the end? In our D&D campaign, we had a player playing an elven princess who was betrothed to a prince she did not love. The campaign began to bend its focus on how to help her out of the arranged marriage. Currently on hiatus.

#RPGaDAY20264 4. An enjoyable moment of charm gone right or wrong? (Day Late) My half-ogre fighter, Oz, met a baker's daughter and fell in love. He tried to woo her bringing claws, furs, etc of creatures he killed which did not impress her father at all. Later he understood "treasure" better.

#RPGaDAY2026 2. What does one character’s stature in their community mean to them? - My campaigns tend to travel a lot so characters do not put down local roots. Closest I have had is a fantasy character who retired, got married, and bought an Inn. He became a popular NPC in later campaigns.

#RPGaDAY2026 1. Share a character or fellow player who is a strong example of discipline. - Elyse, a player in my Star Trek Adventures 2e campaign, takes great notes, keeps us on task, and is even playing a Vulcan who keeps the crew on task. ... She also kicks my butt in board games!
