Enjoyer of dunking on fascists, thoughtful policy dialogue, goodest doggos, and the Oxford comma.

I’m watching a TV show about the famous German pilot, the Red Baron. I‘ve not gotten to the discussion yet on how his legacy was kept alive via the party pizza trade.

Of all the stupid things Trump has done, the proposed EO to allow for inspection-free beef processing might actually be in the top 3 dumbest. As someone who’s worked adjacent to the protein value chain, I can‘t overstate how much this doesn’t solve anything to create even bigger problems.

A One Act MAGA Play Regime: Prices are going down. MAGA: Horray! The Media™️: Please explain? Regime: Not gonna play this game. The Media™️: So you can’t explain? Regime: You‘re a communist. MAGA: Get ‘em! <Gathering cult noises> The Media™️: This is great content! <Fire noises> The End

Quite a juxtaposition in sport over the last 24 hours. On one hand we’ve seen the World Cup bring cultures together as with the Tartan Army marching through Boston. On the other hand, bread and circuses at the White House. I’d like to see media contrast the two aggressively.

I’ve noticed today RE: Trump‘s meltdown that MAGA supporters generally aren‘t justifying the comments on their own merits, per se, but rather via equivalency with the “crimes” and faults of opponents. Cultivated lies and logical fallacy have broken 35% of the population and IDK how it gets fixed.

So, how long before we start asking with a straight face if the Trump syndicate is getting involved in drug trafficking? The Hernandez pardon coupled with previous ones of El Chapo’s family (who bribed Hernandez), in context of activity in Venezuela is…interesting.

Chiming in with a periodic reminder to stay focused on things that matter, parse signal from noise, and resist bait from bad actors—both adversaries to the pro-democracy cause and single issue agitators among us—seeking to sew division under the pro-democracy tent. Focus is critical.
