It had a couple false starts (wrong ingredients purchased, then had to wait for the heat wave to pass), and it's far from canon... but I tried to make bakso this morning. I have no idea if it tastes like real bakso, but it tastes lovely. Ingredients I used are in alt text.
What motivates you to work on a project when you canโt quite find your motivation? Caffeine doesnโt seem to be enough to power me through working on my current project. I tried a shot of brandy recently and it seemed to unlock my limiters, but I canโt rely on alcohol on a regular basis. [1/2]

Running a little late with stream setupโฆ should start in 10 minutes.
I've decided to go ahead with a 6-year anniversary stream tomorrow. I'll start at 10 AM EDT (4 PM CET, 9 PM WIB), and go until I run out of momentum (so probably 4-5 hours). Lots of snacks (for me), some clips, the first game I ever streamed, and maybe a wee bit of karaoke. I hope you'll drop by! ๐๐
Canโt sleep, so Iโm archiving some ancient CD-Rs. Finding things like 400x300 photos and 16-second-long 160x120 videos. Feels like looking at caveman relics. Surprised these discs are still readable, and I imagine someday they wonโt be. Will I do the same thing 20 years from now with current files?
The six-year anniversary of my first Twitch stream will be Saturday, 11 July. Iโm not sure whether to do anything special. (I canโt pull off a 24-hour endurance stream anymore.) Does it even count, since I took an 11-month hiatus? Do I drag out the old clip compilations, since so much has changed? ๐ค

Today is my last day of state healthcare. Starting tomorrow, I get to pay $11,000 a year for the privilege of paying the first $8,000 of yearly medical expenses myself. It makes me wish I lived in a more compassionate, civilized country. ๐

Brainstorming how to circulate the warm air out of my apartment and pull in cool air when the outside temperature is cooler than inside, through my only window. Thinking about using dryer venting duct with a fan in the back of the main room, but it only comes in 8-foot lengths. ๐ค
