Haven’t played Mega Man X (or any game, for that matter) in a few months. Fired it up tonight and did a buster-only run on all eight Mavericks in about 45 minutes. And then accidentally used Vile’s weakness against him in Sig 1. Ope.😂 Whatever, good to know I can still game if I want to.💚

Lately I’ve been stuck in a pattern of my enthusiasm and positive intentions/ actions being so often met with indifference, neglect, annoyance, and hostility. In most aspects of my life. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, so I don’t know how to correct it, and I’m not handling it well. (1/3)

Yesterday, I did my first race since 2022. I've been an impressively inconsistent runner in the intervening years and it's shown. I started training for this run in late December, and I've made huge strides in the weeks since. Pics range from 4 years ago, at my peak, to 2 days ago, my current. (1/2)

Me in 2022, sipping a pint of an IPA probably, sporting a Virginia Tech tee shirt over a long sleeve dry fit shirt, looking calmly ecstatic about my new run PB.My run results from 2022, where I placed 24th out of 487, with a 4:23 per kilometer (~7:00 per mile) pace, resulting in a total run time of 31:36 for 7.2 kilometers (4.47 miles). This is a very high bar for me, set when I was at my peak running capabilities.Me in 2026, sipping a pint of a delicious doppelbock, sporting a former year's Springs Run shirt over a long sleeve dry fit shirt, looking, honestly, tired as fuck.My run results from 2026, where I placed 56th out of 657, with a 7:42 per mile pace, resulting in a total run time of 34:27 for 7.2 kilometers (4.47 miles).
