If Mitch can talk to Thune and Jennings, he could easily have talked to Andy by now. Notice that no Senator has been seen coming out of the hospital saying he has just visited Mitch. and showing a selfie. Mitch is DEAD, actually or technically. The people who can confirm just aren't talking.
