Keep the wind at your back and the sun on your face

I love how dramatic Decemberunderground is. I was finally able to get it on vinyl but only because this year is the 20th anniversary. A harsh reminder to take my Metamucil.

Bro you cannot beat goin to the brewery and the record shop with @echris.online. They didn’t have angine de poutrine but they had the Earthbound soundtrack which is fuckin crazy honestly so at least Chris is going home happy

谷中ぎんざ On my 5th anniversary, the “wood anniversary,” I visited a woodworker in yanaka and we bought a his and hers set of chopsticks he made himself. When I said it was for our anniversary, he got so proud. As proud as an elderly Japanese man can get. He showed me his grandfather’s work. Beautiful.

After many years, I’ve finally upgraded my everyday paints from student grade to professional grade. I tend to hoard my expensive materials and rarely use them, but I think I’ve long outgrown doing that. The difference in these ultramarine swatches is night and day.

I love summer. It stings and you sweat from your face and it extracts a toll but it gives you life and fruit and cicadas and sunflowers. A beautiful, fair exchange. Stick your fingers into the earth, plant a tomato. Breath in deep the salt of the ocean. It’s miraculous.

After growing up during the 8 and 16 bit eras, I’ve done my time with punitively challenging games and don’t typically enjoy them in my old age, but holy moly Mina the Hollower sure is great

Been playing a lot of the new Diablo expansion and it’s really good. Destiny 2 hasn’t had a meaningful update since last year, so it’s nice to have a regular game to kill things and take their stuff going again
