PACIFIC TRACKER “… used by the Missile Defense Agency to monitor and track ballistic missile tests …” Well, that’s a lovely thing to think about.

Married millennial nerd with two geriatric furbabies. 40 y/o. 📍 Portland, OR (mostly) 📍 Astoria, OR (sometimes)
@eldermillenial.bsky.social always posting cool street photography motivated me to actually take my camera with me as I walked around Astoria after work yesterday and grabbed dinner. I've been playing around with in camera recipes for burning JPEGs. I'm liking the look of this recipe.
Watched the Portland fireworks from the Willamette last night and took some handhelds with the Ricoh.
Okay. Okay. Racing along and a Shinkansen bullets by … seal the ballots … it’s over. Game of the year. Forza Horizon 6.
In December, I paid $1600 for this exact order. Now, it's $3K. The impact AI has had on PC gaming is so wild and annoying.
Seeing the PS5 Pro get a price increase to $899.99 is solidifying my thinking that the PS6 is going to be $999.99 (or more) unless the global shortages (e.g., RAM, Helium) get sorted out soon. Xbox Project Helix, my gosh ... $1499.99? Who knows?! Also thinking a Switch 2 price increase incoming.
You can’t tell me the character in Pokopia isn’t running around like the kids from Weapons.

If I hear a sample from "I'll Believe in Anything" by Wolf Parade (the song from the Heated Rivalry Ep. 5 center ice kiss) I start to tear up. And you know what, I like it here. Also, I've read all six books in the past two weeks. I read the last two books in a 36 hour window. I like it here.
Retro game haul today, both PS3 titles on my want list. Both with the old Spiderman font. Ridge Racer 7 Katamari Forever
Completed another game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, ten years in the making. I bought this game in 2016 shortly before we decided to backpack around the world and priorities shifted. As a big fan of Metal Gear, this has been a gap in the canon for me. Not anymore. Loved D-Dog.
To reassess eating habits I reinstalled my go to calorie tracking app, Calory. It has been so enshittified I couldn’t get to any functionally w/o multiple dark patterns triggering an in app purchase. So, I vibe coded the functionality I wanted in Claude Code in 10 minutes and threw it on a server. 💅
Nine slight variations, but I'm really leaning toward `main-deer-right-16x16-9.png`. I like the ... - Bigger eyes (more expressive) - "Deer-like" snout - Bigger ears (cute) - Snout divides the eyes (realistic) - The single dark pixel to represent the hoof (hand) I don't love ... - Smaller antlers
Finally got around to adding the needed DNS record to change my handle here to `@twitty.dev`. It's a good handle, IMHO.
I was searching for a photo of our dogs and Apple Photos included a screenshot of “the dog” from TLoU2. AHHHHHHHH!
Costco packaging getting out of control. There are objectively better ways to package up cans of Pringles that isn’t a four foot spar of dehydrated potato flakes.
I sometimes still go to Google Reader thinking, "maybe it was all a dream". Nope, it's gone.
We have our first GBC compatible asset, still a bit of a work in progress. 4 colors to a palette and one palette per sprite is a pretty interesting restriction for the hardware.
Looking at PS2s on OfferUp. You couldn’t pay me to take this controller off your hands. 🤢
Now it's up to $459.99. June 2024: $209.98 Jan. 2026: $919.98 :wheat hanging from corner of mouth, taking in life from his rocking chair: "Before the AI wars you could build a PC for a reasonable price."
I was curious about “have you seen the price of RAM” and looked up my last RAM purchase. In June 2024 (~1.5 years ago) I paid $104.99 for 32GB of DDR5. Today, it’s $379.99. Yikes. And I bought two of these things for a total of 64GB. 6/2024: $209.98 12/2025: $759.98 WTF, that’s crazy.
I'm thinking about making a Link's Awakening DX style game to tell a queer story, mostly as a hobby activity. I've been doing some research and I'm a bit torn between using GBDK (more authentic) and Godot (more modern / marketable). Anyone got thoughts?
Multiple times per day I'm getting "reset your Instagram" password emails. Someone is trying so hard to hack my Instagram account. Sweetie, let me tell you, it ain't much, there are bigger fish. Please, move along.
