That terrifying moment between the code pushing to production, and the first users actually exercising the new features in the application... GearBlast:US 2026 registration has so far been running pretty smooth though, so I guess I pulled it off 🤷♂️ 😅 🎉

There wasn’t an active gay kink community at the time and it just felt very lonely waiting for someone to change that. Until we realized we had to be the ones to change that. So we started monthly gear nights a bar crawl.

This is a real problem... I've seen several sites over the years have to rework features, or shut down entirely because they can't accept common methods of payment or banks refuse them as customers. Doing work for a small non-profit, even I had to make changes to appease the pmt processor, or no $$

I wasn't close with this person, but I'd met him a few times going back 10+ years - this is still a loss that hurts. In less than 2 years this is the 3rd person I've personally known in the kink community who has died doing inhalant play alone, and I know there's more. For fuck's sake, play safer.
