Google's weather model has been absurdly terrible for me lately, frequently saying "It's currently 65" when its 80+ outside. Location is correct. It's apparently because they use an AI model instead of reports now. I DONT WANT AN AI TO GUESS THE CURRENT WEATHER. I WANT A READING FROM A THERMOMETER

AI solving more and more complicated unsolved math problems is really interesting to me as it feels so wildly different from its attempts to do art from like, a philosophical perspective

love how one of the rewards you get for making a successful game is just having a hoard of angry people yell at you for dumb shit online constantly, forever

Sometimes still think about how Doom 2016 had doomguy destroy a thing that was trying to explain lore and story to him, rejecting the very idea of exposition and lore in a doom game and then the next 2 games just decided "you know what? this game needs more lore"

hate how if you ever found a really good thing that lasted you 10+ years or more its basically impossible to ever get the same thing again if you need to replace it for some reason

previous 10 years I was living in a place without AC, and now I got AC again and man its fucking sick to be able to be like "75? slightly too warm" and click a button and be comfortable again

"Ideas are worthless, its execution that matters" has always just been a polite way to tell people their ideas suck. I think people actually underestimate just how much a good idea is worth.

vibes only and no numbers to back it up but I wouldn't be surprised if microsoft putting their first party releases day 1 on game pass ended up losing them a shitload of money long term

adding chinese localization is a never ending stream of "wait... this font has 40000 characters?" "wait... there's no spaces for word wrapping in the text" "wait... none of the fonts chosen have the symbol for Poop (㞎㞎) in them"

Reading any amount of media discourse online makes me realize just how many people are basically just being Soulja Boy (from indie game the movie) without realizing it

On a walk exploring my new area and have apparently wandered into the non-euclidean suburbs. Google maps is blank. Every turn leads back to itself somehow. There is an old lady staring at me at every corner, saying nothing. How do I escape?

People be like "The scariest thing a human can experience is drowning". They clearly have never had to release a balance patch for a popular game on steam
