Watched the Super Mario Galaxy Movie yesterday. It was fun. I sorta get the criticism that it's a string of references without much plot. But when you factor in how- outside the RPGs- the actual games don't have much plot, it's not that much different. Not everything has to be a masterpiece, y'know?

My first impressions of the original He-Man series are already surprising. It's the not brainless, meat-headed, chest thumping kind of thing that hundreds of parodies have made me expect. He-Man is level-headed and witty, and each episode has a moral at the end that can actually help kids. (1/4)
So recently my family made this recipe from the Star Trek cookbook- a rose hibiscus syrup- and we made too much of it. We had some ginger ale at the time, so we decided to use it up by mixing them together. And it was really good! I think it's now one of my favorite flavor combos, in fact.

One day back in the late 2000s our Windows XP computer suddenly played a cat meow sound effect. It would happen again on extremely rare occasions for long time afterward (for months at least), with no warning and seemingly totally at random. I never did find out what was causing it.
