I think Kena is a very approachable souls-lite style game, with difficulty settings. The graphics are very nice, the combat is smooth but does not make perfect/demanding timing mandatory (so far), yet landing parries feels NICE. I love how much space the story and environment have to breathe.

Abandoned game #1 of 2026: Beast of Reincarnation. I wanted to have fun. I love Koo. I loved the opening. I thought maybe Game Freak had cooked. They didn't, when you look at the technical weirdness, copied homework, and things we shouldn't be seeing from a AAA dev in 2026. I'll do a breakdown ⬇️

I loved the SP but the magic of playing games by streetlamp light is a load-bearing component of GBA nostalgia, combined with only needing two AA batteries? Plus, finding spots that were well lit but not in direct sunlight is a LIFE SKILL.

Games #14 and #15 of 2026 were Cobb can Move and Idols of Ash! No screenshots because I forgot to take e., but really fun, short horror games! Cobb can Move was really fun, and I have very mild issues with it as a Game Jam game. Idols of Ash is my favorite new Spider-Man game.

With all the bad news in gaming I think it's important to keep in mind the good news: people who play games aren't going anywhere. And we'll always be sharing discs and carts, building our own machines, and finding new and creative ways to continue our hobby.

It's simple, I see AI slop instead of press kit media or pictures, I block. Not worth my time to read, they can't even get CONVINCING slop.
