Eclipse Blade - Wishlist Now

I'm Tz, making Eclipse Blade — a retro action platformer inspired by 90s ninja games Wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4567120/Eclipse_Blade/
Just played through an early beta of this game. Keep an eye on this one (maybe throw it on the ol' wishlist), I've got a good feeling about it. Especially if you like old-school Ninja Gaiden and all the games in that style.
For the upcoming Eclipse Blade demo, I am looking for 10–20 players to join a gameplay playtest. You’ll play a short Windows build and fill out a 2–3 minute feedback form with questions such as how long it took you to finish. Interested? Please DM me or email tintgamedev@gmail.com. Thank you! 🥷❣️

Substitution Jutsu has been implemented in game. Feels pretty good so far 🥷💥🪵
Eclipse Blade @tztzdev.bsky.social Eclipse Blade is a retro ninja action-platformer inspired by classic ninja games from the 1990s. Featuring challenging old-school gameplay and beautifully hand-crafted pixel art, it delivers the pure thrill of classic action in a fresh new way.
Testing a new ninja technique... Substitution Jutsu 👇
Portal animation. Every pixel in Eclipse Blade is handcrafted ✍️
Do you think this could work as a boss fight?
When you're entering the trap section with only one hit left... deep breath :(
Today is a great day to add my retro ninja action-platformer to your steam wishlist.
The updraft mechanic is integrated into an actual stage. It always feels good once a mechanic leaves the test room and become part of an actual level. Noice :)
Strong updrafts keep the player airborne, making it impossible to land. Jumping into one gives you extra height. It wasn't planned, but it's a fun little mechanic. Happy accidents sometimes turn into fun mechanics. It kind of reminds me of rocket jumping from Quake XD
I’ve decided (at least for now) to make the tutorial a separate scene. After a short and straightforward basic controls tutorial, players can jump straight into the actual game with the basics already in mind.
Repost: a quiet clip from the stage Harbor. No enemies yet 👇

I've decided to create a dedicated tutorial stage before the game begins. It'll look like this 👇 #retrogaming #pixelart
In Eclipse Blade, every jump matters. #retrogaming
[Full Dialog + Intro/Outro Sys Test] After adding the dialog system, the in-game cutscene framework is now fully working. Camera movement/effects, dialog, multiple animations, timeline... a nice little tool for creating cutscenes and adding a bit of in-game storytelling. Neat.
Looks like The Messenger or Ninja Gaiden or Cyber Shadow. The Messenger is really awesome and if you haven't played it yet you should. So yeah what I am trying to say is this game looks really cool
Three words for my indie game: JUMP KATANA NINJUTSU
[WIP] Working on the Intro/Outro cutscene framework for encounters: camera movement, multiple animations, and other little tools for in-game storytelling. Eclipse Blade won't be a story-heavy game, but having a cutscene system is a "why not?" feature. #retrogaming #gamedev
Repost: this is how I improved the enemy's visuals from the prototype #pixelart

Clip of testing the new enemy. This spiked shield enemy blocks almost all damage from the front, but can be easily killed from behind. #retrogaming
