UAW Local 4811 is the union for all 48,000 Academic Student Employees, Postdocs, and Academic Researchers at the University of California.

UC depends on the work of both TAs and GSRs, but allows massive pay gaps that push researchers into precarity. ASEs are fighting for fair pay and salary parity that reflects the value of all our labor.
