the choice for me today is to whether to watch a movie i hadn't seen before and to take it all in for the first time every visual every scene and turn all my undivided attention towards it for an hour and a half or do i just watch goodfellas again

not that it matters much but i did update my letterboxd top 4 just now to better reflect my actual favorite films ever like ever ever like for real like what i consider cinematic triumph film and what actually changed me or affected me as a person growing up or otherwise

u know there was a time where you would watch a movie or read a book and u had to come to your own conclusions or you'd have to see it/read it several times in full instead of relying on youtube videos churned out by content creators that hastily Explain Everything in digestible content form

my character flaw is that there are some games or pieces of media that i refuse to interact with because of the sheer number of times i've been either shown it via unfunny posts on social media, or have been told countless times to play/watch said media

i dont like living in the age of followings and engagement and you gotta make things constantly for the engagement cause if you dont get the engagement no ones gonna see your work we've moved on from gallery style viewing to relying on other people's feeds and algorithms i dont like it

i saw a take today that was like "movies are too short for me to get invested in any characters and unlike tv series if i dont like what im watching i can stop at any time" like huh... u can do that with movies as well you know but like idk. its funny cause i feel the total opposite i think

does anybody else feel like they listen to so much music but also not enough music at the same time. i listen to so many different genres but there is also sooo much music that. i just never bothered to listen to or give a chance either.

i tend to focus much better when i have a clear goal in mind and a solid plan for how to get there but that's why it takes me forever to sketch and also begin rendering drawings because both sketching and the start of coloring is very much "ok how am i gonna do this. lol"
