Upon ending our 17-day strike, multiple UIS faculty reported union-related signs had been ripped from office doors, walls, and windows in 3 different buildings, suggested an organized, union-busting campaign. Theft and vandalism, at a minimum. This is the climate we're dealing with... #AcademicSky
News like this is why we demanded guardrails on use of AI in the classroom and for reviewing faculty work. University of Illinois Springfield admins (or rather, their union-busting lawyers in Urbana): "its too new" to be in a contract! Uh, that's why we need protections asshats! #AcademicSky
