I see two things going on: 1) Like blogosphere coverage 25 years ago, the NYT seem miffed that he isn’t relying on their pretty openly racist metro reporters to get messages out; 2) Mamdani is a model for how Democrats can evade hostile media gatekeeping to engage more effectively with voters.

Does that mean Trump could sign an executive order redefining the North Pole to be in Kansas? Why stop there? Rename the constellations? Switch east and west? Up and down?
