For those asking who on YNO/the ynfg community this is referencing Heard another mod got caught being transphobic and nothing was done but don't know if it was this or another person. Neither are a surprise at this point.

Sam: More recently they've even started to become banned in some countries due to new scientific findings Sam: [in reply to, "what narrative?"] That it has no permanent effect I think we don't know that yet due to limited research Akuma: If nothing else, it has a lot less permanent affects than going through puberty that doesn't align with your gender, or choosing to go through a different one and then regretting it later And there are way more reports that they have no lasting effects, than anything suggesting that they might have any significant ones Sam: What do you think about them being recently banned in the UK? Do you think that was a biased decision based on views similar to mine, or perhaps more hateful in origin? Akuma: I believe it's a mix of many things, and more complicated than 1 simple reason The reason they cited was "not enough evidence" Which to me reads as choosing to ignore the evidence that's out there considering they were made in the 80s But without any more info from the people that made the decisions, its hard to say for sure Sam: Ah I seeSam: If you'll allow me to be very honest, I am strongly biased against an environment that encourages children to be trans even if there was no internal origin for that, because it plays on factors like puberty, and then they can end up making a life-changing decision they regret"though knowing your beliefs, what're your thoughts on gay people existing? I'm aware there's a line in some portion of some bible saying, "A man sleeping with a man is a sin" And that it was prooven recently to be a mistranslation of "a man and a child sleeping together is a sin" (talking about pedophilia rather than gay people) Sam: I think that discovery was probably a biased mistranslated itself, I think it's pretty clear from scripture what God intended for relationships and sexual relations It's not just referenced in one place but many So it falls under a similar vein for me
