Today, we have another image created as we were working with Ankama, this time on Savara, which released back in May 2025. We delivered the key art that you can find below, and a few other images which were used to illustrate the game's Steam page.

Next up in our brand new Umeshu Inner Worlds blog post series... City Pop! Born in Japan as a music genre which evolved into more of an aesthetic after its resurgence in the last decade, City Pop has lived rent free in our heads for months now. ▶️Read: open.substack.com/pub/umeshulo...

Umeshu Inner Worlds #2 - City Pop

Umeshu Inner Worlds is a new blog post series through which the team at Umeshu Lovers share what feeds their imagination.

Images may take different forms. In 2024, we worked with Ankama and created a few visuals, including this specific piece, where we created the image and also added the animation bit on top of it. Real fun stuff.

Let's end the week with a bit of fantasy, shall we? Here is a image we created for Wraithmarked Creative, as they were working on a new, deluxe edition of Marie Brennan's The Memoirs of Lady Trent. Dragons make anything look cooler...

Key art we created last year for After Light Fades, a sweet puzzle game created by Orchid of Redemption, and published by Lamplight Forest. The game released back in June 2025 on Steam, go give a try!

In 2023 we teamed up with Insomniac, who were looking for new visuals for their Day Trip Festival. We were more than happy to oblige, creating illustrations for the 2024 Seattle and Long Beach editions. We stroke back with images for the '25 editions. Which one is your favorite?

Here are several other illustrations we created for the MOBE. The oceans can be all sort of things: beautiful, mysterious, even dangerous... Artists of all times and places have tried to replicate these various facets in their work - so let these be our modest contribution!

Sharing with you today: some massive images we created for the Musée d'Orléans pour la Biodiversité et l'Environnement (MOBE). These visuals, probably the largest we ever created, were used throughout the exhibition as a mean to illustrate MOBE's storytelling.

We've had a strong relationship with our friends at Wizards of the Coast for a few years now, which resulted in our team providing art for several Magic cards recently. Today we would like to share one more image, based on an IP we never thought we'd work on (or at least, not in this context).

Promises are made to be kept! We have a second illustration created for the Magic The Gathering / Sonic the Hedgehog collaboration. This time, it's one of Eggman's robots, with a giant hammer and probably too much energy. We may have more cards art coming, so feel free to take a guess!

Last year, Wizards of the Coast released a Sonic cards set and we were happy to be among the few artists who worked on it. We created illustrations for two different cards, including this one. We'll share another one in the coming days, so stay tuned for more!

Western Europe is getting hit by an early heat wave, and we're all looking for fresh air. We thought these backgrounds and concept arts we created 4 years ago for Bossa Games' I Am Fish might help!

Today we are sharing with you a visual we created for OwlCrate's edition of Overgrowth, a scifi novel written by Mira Grant, in which our good ol' Earth is on the verge of being invaded by alien carnivorous plants. The setting obviously made for an interesting cover, as you can see!

2 years ago, we had the opportunity to team up with Memory Palace Records, as they were working on the release of FLY's Lucid Dream EP. They had a good idea of what they wanted, and interestingly enough, they referenced several concepts from our very own Forest of Liars project.

The week-end is almost upon us! Have you considered playing a nice board game with your loved ones? Today we are sharing another board game box art. This one was created for Jumbo's Lost Island - Stratego, for which we also delivered images for a few gameplay elements.

Box art we created last year for Gamewright's Dragon Isles, the third edition in their Dragon series. The team was looking for a japanese interpretation of the creatures (the serpent-like shape, the horns, fur and long mustaches, etc) while maintaining the feel of the two previous games.

The artThe art with all texts, as showed on the game box.

Last week our art director shared a few concept arts from a new Super Smash Bros game we were supposedly working on. We hadn't planned to mislead anybody - releasing it on 04/01 made things pretty obvious - but the feedback was amazing, so we felt like expanding on that a little.

Here are the five images we created for Wizards of the Coast and their TMNT / Magic the Gathering cards set, which released recently. They are all Land cards. If you happen to get one of them (or more !), let us know!

Last post regarding our work on the Magic the Gathering / TMNT cards set. We showed you New York from different angles, but here the most important one: the sewers! (you'd almost want to take a dip, right?)

Bild

Time for some more Magic The Gathering / TMNT! Here is the one we called "Rooftop", because it depicts... yeah, you guessed it, a rooftop. But it seems that it was recently visited by at least one of our favorite turtles, which suddenly makes it way more interesting, right? 🍕🐢
