Just something silly I came up with 😅 I've put every Fruits Basket character on top of the Umi version they are most like.

Have you ever head of the Ocean Maiden?

They say she shows up in dark nights, where the moon is so bright that all stars in the sky shy away.

If you stand by the sea, as the blinding moon shines upon it, you may just see her in it's reflection.
A woman with long black hair and a friendly smile, cast in blue from the water below her.
She'll be glad you noticed her, and reach out to you But she hesitates, and pulls back away.

Though her smile can strike at your heart, and her voice is alluring like a siren's song, you must not draw near.
For if you approach, she will pull you in.
She will laugh at your jokes, she will compliment your looks. She will pull you closer.

She will give you thoughtful gifts, sing you songs, listen to your story and warm your heart.
She will pull you in.

And when you are close enough, you will see it. The dark that lurks beneath the waters. The tempest eternally tied to her.

It's a warning shot, a glimpse of the ire below. You can still swim away, you can leave her behind, like many have before you.
But if you dare draw closer, if you indulge your curiosity and sink yourself below the surface, your fate will be sealed.

She's got you.

You may thrash, kick, and desperately claw away. But the tempest is wild and merciless. It will not let go.
Deeper and deeper she will sink you, deeper than anyone is meant to go.
The water is pressing, the darkness is seizing you. And even the light of the blinding moon above will fade away. Untill all you can see, all you can feel, is the pressing abyss and crushing misery that robs you of your last breath.

Neither of them wish to be saved. There is nothing to be rescued.
All she wanted was someone who could be close. Someone who would fiercely dive below, brave the depths and embrace her darkness.
But you can't. No one can ever survive living in her pitch black oblivion.
So if you see the ocean maiden, with her kind smile shining bright in a full moon light.
You'd best smile back, turn around, and forget you ever saw her.
